Sue George

Since I began writing professionally in 1997, I’ve authored and published news articles, features, interviews, how-to articles, tech reviews, peer-reviewed journal articles and a cycling guide book.  I’ve also co-authored and authored successful proposals for both commercial and non-profit organizations. Best known for my work as an editor and journalist at Cyclingnews.com, I have been in the cycling industry since I began riding and racing at the local velodrome as a very young junior in 1982.  I grew up racing road, track and mountain bike disciplines, was a member of the US National Cycling Team, and won 11 junior and collegiate national cycling titles.  I’ve also represented my country, the United States, at various international and world championship races.

When not writing, Sue George enjoys riding her bike on singletrack, especially when the mountain laurels are blooming.

When not writing, I enjoy riding my bike on singletrack, especially when the mountain laurels are blooming.

Over the years, I’ve travelled nationally and internationally in North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania –  sometimes to compete, sometimes to ride my bike and sometimes to bring stories to readers.

I have additional experience as a mechanical engineer and R&D project manager in aerospace and biomechanical engineering, including writing technical manuals, project reports and presentations.

I enjoy working with clients big and small, located locally or around the globe.
