Client: Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition
Proposal: Assisting with writing and editing of the non-profit organization’s first Recreational Trails Programs (RTP) proposal to make current multi-use trails in the George Washington National Forest more sustainable.
Result: $100k grant won (requiring 20% matching)
Client: RLW, Inc.
Proposals: Wrote a dozen proposals to the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program, submitted to agencies such as the US Navy, DARPA and the US Army for commercial client.
Results: Won funding (up to $750K per project) for several Phase 1 and Phase 2 projects to develop and commercialize hardware and software systems for wireless sensors.
Client: Charlottesville Area Mountain Bike Club
Proposal: Assisted with writing and editing of proposal to win funding for local trail building and maintenance efforts for local non-profit organization.
Result: Won $1000 in funding via IMBA-sponsored program to improve trails and signage at Walnut Creek Park.
